More VACA!

Well. We had to wait a bit longer for another preparation day it seems. Smartphone day is in fact January 27th!! Ok here goes the semana

Monday:

I got a haircut and was staring blankly into the distance while we got a car wash. Elder Snow laughed about this later on.

Tuesday:

The day of insanity. We drove to Boise. We had some training. Everyone thought we were going to get smartphones early but that didn't happen. It was still cool though. There was pizza. After that we drove down to Burley to drop off the Elders we took up to Boise and went back to Hansen. This was the end of the day. lots and lots of driving. fun times. but really though, it was pretty fun.

Wednesday:

We had a district meeting and went to Murtaugh for dinner afterwards. Then we had an appointment fall through followed by another appointment that went really well.

Thursday:

Weekly Planning followed by T & T as usual. Then we went to a very interesting lesson. I couldn't help but laugh at how insane everything went. Mom, Dad, Just ask me about it on Mother’s Day. Written words cannot sufficiently describe it. Later on we visited a few people with the branch mission leader. It was a really good day. My journal entry started out with "Today, I decided that life might not be real." So, good and crazy. The way I like it.

Friday:

Less crazy: We watched the funeral of Thomas S. Monson with a less-active member. After that we did some studies and visited an investigator and had him download gospel library. He now has a lot of information available to him, so that is good. We had dinner at 3:30 with a member who was building a bunker in his back yard. Then we visited a few more people in Murtaugh before visiting our recent convert and going home.

Saturday:

We spent the whole day in Kimberly going through a potential investigator list. We have a few there now. The day was productive but exhausting.

Sunday:

I had a really weird dream the night before that we went to a water-park and got arrested. We sang  If You Could Hie to Kolob in Sacrament meeting, so that was really cool. We got dropped by an investigator and other than that had a really good day.

Monday:

It wasn't preparation day. We went looking for dairy housing and found some. Then we got some potential investigators. Murtaugh is large and spread out. Fact.

Tuesday:

Today is preparation day. President Nelson is now the President of the Church. We watched the announcement this morning (getting ready to be re-assigned to China any day now.) We also got a car wash. Anyway. Less time until the next email I guess! LOVE YOU ALL!

Also I didn't take many pictures today so I will send some from back when we played with giant icicles. BYE!

Q & A

1. What time do you go to church on Sundays for regular meetings? Depends. Normally we try to go to some of the meetings for both Murtaugh and Hansen. Usually we go at 11

2. What’s the best thing about being a missionary so far? Walking up to really sketchy looking houses and meeting really interesting people. It's fun. I probably won't be doing this when I get home.

3. How many investigators do you have right now? We found where the dairy workers live. So a lot. We have 2 English speaking investigators and probably about 16 Spanish speaking ones. The only problem is they all have to work on Sunday.

4. Do members or investigators ask about your family? What do you tell them about your life back home? Normally they just ask what our parents do and how many siblings we have. So the answer is pretty straight forward. If they ask what I liked to do I say setting things on fire and staring at my computer screen.

5. Do you practice speaking Spanish with Elder Snow, or do you speak English when talking to each other? Yep. We set up a plan for speaking Spanish in the house. We do it whenever we can/feel like it outside of the house too.

6. Do you need anything? Nope. Not really right now. Thanks! (Oh, maybe a smartphone but I’m assuming that is in the mission office.)

7. What service did you do this week? Any manual labor? None. Sadly service opportunities seem to have dried up. We are still looking though.

8. Second favorite song on your playlist right now, or a new favorite? Hmm. Maybe  Whom Shall I Fear? Idk who it is by. It is from Wow! Hits 2014 or something like that. I don't really have a favorite. There is a lot.

9. Current favorite scripture verse or verses? Why? Alma 34: 33-35 this is why you should stop doing drugs right now. (Not you in particular, just anyone.)

10. Are your shoes holding up? Pretty well. I polished them for the first time!
Ok gotta go fast as usual, love you!
