I was going to write a subject line, but we're getting smartphones pretty soon, so I'll just do it then.

Christmas happened. It was great. Other things happened too. They are as follows: Monday: As I mentioned last week. We spent pretty much all of preparation day driving to Boise. After that, Elder Marin and Elder Castellano became RMs. They got picked up by their parents. It was almost too much for greenie eyes to bear. After that we spent the night in Boise. Tuesday: We (Me and Elder Wright) woke up and went to the mission office. We picked up a bunch of packages and played delivery driver. We took them to the Zone Leaders in Twin Falls, Rupert, and Burley. Yep. I went back to Burley! For like 15 minutes, but I was there! After that me and Elder Wright went back to Hansen and did missionary stuff for the rest of the day. Then we went to sleep. Wednesday: Now is where things get interesting-er. Elder Wright and I had to go BACK to BURLEY for an orthodontist appt. So yeah, twice in a row. Then we drove very safely back to Twin Falls just in time to go to the Tra

FINALLY DONE WITH 12 WE... oh really... OK never mind

This format really is the most effective. It'll stick around a while. Monday: Best Preparation day. We went to Red Robin and did an Escape Room. It was really neat. Our district was able to get out in about 45 mins or so. At one point a hidden door flew open and there was a dummy behind it. That scared the two people who had their face right next to it a bit.  Other than that, you probably know that smartphones will be here in January. So that will be cool. Tuesday: I was on exchanges with Elder Erwin. It was also very cold and foggy. Cafe Rio is good. Also Interviews with President Bartlett and also I got a few packages. THANKS ANNA and THE BALL FAMILY!  Wednesday: Elder Marin had a departing temple trip in the morning so I dropped him off at the temple and went to the zone leader's apartment for the morning. After that we had a District meeting and not much happened after that. Oh yeah! Hansen Christmas Party! I got a picture with Santa!

Cold Day in Idaho Counting up to Christmas! OK, never mind. This format works best so I'll stick with it for now. It got cold here this week. No snow but lots of frost. Tuesday: Zone Conference! We know that smartphones are coming. We went over some training stuff regarding that. We will also have Facebook. I don't know how to Facebook, I guess I have to learn. After Zone Conference we were able to reach our Light the World contact goal. Which was good since we didn't have as much time as we normally do. Later on we delivered Christmas Boxes for the Hansen Ward. I was with our Ward Mission Leader. He had a CD with Disneyland Music, so we did the whole thing while also riding Space Mountain (JK we just listened to that music). Wednesday: Elder Marin did the Marriage and Dating portion of MyPlan. I had to watch the videos and stuff with him. I was OK. He isn't ready. He wants to be a missionary for a little bit longer. Later on we

Changing it up

Elder Marin and Elder Hazeslip Ok. Maybe I'll switch this up a bit. Just some general information instead of the normal daily format thing. Meh, I might go back to it next week. So Hansen is really small. There is a school, a park, a gas station, a library, and a restaurant called T and T.  Also there are two churches, a Baptist church and an Assembly of God. We cover the Hansen Ward and the Murtaugh Ward, both of which meet in a building in Murtaugh (about 15 minutes from Hansen) that really doesn't have much parking space. The other wards in the stake are in Kimberly which we only cover for Spanish.  The Light the World initiative is what we spend all of our non-teaching time with. We try to talk with everyone and give them a card because we have a goal to talk to 17 different people each day. We have made it every day so far, even the days when we don't really have that much time. I like teaching more than finding, the days that we have no appointments dra

WHY SO BLURRY

Blurry picture of the inside of our house.  Monday: After we finished our emails we went to Culver's. I got full. Then we went and played disc golf in the rain. It was fun. Tuesday: We went to Murtaugh. We had dinner, and visited people. Not much of interest happened that day. Wednesday: District Meeting! I worked on my talk for Sunday. I realized that it was a day before Thanksgiving. Which means that it is also close to CHRISTMAS! Thursday: Thanksgiving! We had our "dinner" at noon. We tried talking to people but pretty much everyone was busy because it was Thanksgiving. Then we had a 30 min "Lunch" that night. Later on I continued to work on my talk. Friday: We started handing out  Light The World cards. I had a headache, but I took Ibuprofen and it went away. Elder Marin did his My Plan again, so I got to sit behind him in the library for a while. He is getting closer to the Dating and Marriage part. He is not excited

HI! Monday: We did indeed go to Jump Time. It was exhausting. I did a back flip for the first time. That was fun. I did land on my head a couple times too. That was less fun. After that we had to kinda scramble to get the other Elders to an appointment and switch cars back with some sister missionaries but it all worked out. We have a Rogue (w/ AWD) now, so the winter can't hurt us. (It actually can). Tuesday: Not much. We accidentally found a less active member. So that was neat Wednesday: We went to Murtaugh and had a District Meeting.  Thursday: Not much, weekly planning. We were in Murtaugh later that day, it was dark and raining and we were walking around and the power went out, so that was kinda cool. Friday: I was on exchanges with the Kimberly Elders. Specifically Elder Collins. We helped a man move for about three hours. After that we walked around Kimberly and visited people because they were out of miles. It was cold. My chi

Why do I type like I'm running out of time? Because I am, let’s do this. Tuesday: Really the only thing I remember from today was that we got transfer calls. I got transferred to Kimberly. Elder Hodge and I drank hot chocolate to deal with it.  Wednesday: We spent our last day in Oakley, that is what most of the pictures consist of. We had dinner with the Bliss family. It was good. We also found out that they know the Cooke family in Oregon. Small world and crazy that we had dinner with them the last day I was in Burley. They said they lived in Eastern Oregon. Then when I pressed for more info they mentioned Hermiston. Pretty much a dead giveaway at that point. Their son was the source of this weeks subject line. He asked me and Elder Hodge if we liked spicy foods. We said yes. The subject line was his response.  After that me and Elder Hodge took a road trip up to Boise where we spent the night with the assistants, that was really fun. Their house is right across th
