Howdy! I am currently in a U-haul store in Twin Falls waiting for our car to get a hitch installed for a bike rack. So now I get to write emails from my phone! Who knew I'd be lucky enough to do this twice in a row! This past preparation day was quite hectic, we spent the whole day running errands and stuff. As the week went on, we had interviews with President Bartlett. I asked him a question about some verses in Isaiah and he gave me a little bit of an explanation, but then told me to just study the chapter more in depth. Long story short: I LOVE Isaiah now. I don't always understand what every reference or symbol means, but as a whole it is really powerful. It surprised me how often it says "thus saith the Lord" meaning it is the Savior speaking directly through Isaiah. OK , obligatory barnyard pictures. They had some kittens born this week. They are very small. I was on exchanges with Elder Royal when these were taken: Also, the Potato

An 8 Day Week

Hello everyone! This is the first weekly email written on a touch screen since the MTC. (Update, we just gained access to some computers, so it this isn't ENTIRELY on my phone.) Last preparation day we went to City of Rocks. Just as pretty as ever down there! (more pics in drive) We did service at the barnyard as normal. Kale doesn't taste good. The goats are very fond of it though. One of the goats was just chillin' on a bench. I wasn't going to tell him how to live his life. On Friday we went to the Declo Homecoming parade. It wasn't as long as the Declo Days parade. But it was still pretty long. Declo beat Buhl (Elder Livingston's old area) by quite a bit to nothing. So I'm not hurting too bad that we couldn't go watch the game. We did get lots of candy thrown at us in the parade though, perks of serving in Idaho! We also saw a Bishopric member at the parade who asked us to give talks on Sunday (2 days notice). So "perks

Rest assured, we are staying VERY busy.

HOLA!  [Warm-up] Ok, I'm just gonna start writing because I don't even know what to say to get myself started typing. The smoke came back and I'm not too happy about that. Maybe I'll delete this when I am done, maybe not. Only time will tell. Last Preparation day we went to the Steadmans in Raft River. We got to do the slides without water. It didn't work too well, so it kinda just turned into a competition to see who could make it the farthest. We also did the zipline. That was pretty fun. Especially if you use the slide blankets as a cape. We did service again at the barnyard. We helped pick some of the vegetables I helped plant  4 MONTHS AGO?!?!!?  Time really needs to chill out, we got way too many vegetables and are scrambling to use them for something before they go bad. S uggestions? Way too much kale: I also saw what an artichoke looks like if you let it bloom. It looks like this: Elder Livingston and

I'll tell you what. It has been a long week. On  Monday  we had a really awesome preparation day activity at the L's house again. They took us up the hill on their side-by-side and we got some really cool views of the whole area. We weren't even at the highest one, but you could still see from Rupert all the way over to Albion. So this is pretty much our whole area plus some in one picture: After that we went into their game room. It turns out that the blue chalk stuff does actually make you a better pool player. Tuesday  was a pretty slow day, we were very anxious to find out what was going to happen with transfers, but we found some stuff to do to keep us from worrying too much. We had dinner at a restaurant called Joy's Place out-to-malta. Their signature dish is a FAT steak. They don't weigh them, they just cut it and serve it. I somehow managed to eat all of the fixin's plus more than half of the steak. The rest of the cow
