A train with malicious intentions.
Time just
keeps flying by over here. I asked Elder Blashill if he would be more scared of
a dragon or a train flying around. He told me that trains were not inherently
dangerous. So the question was modified to keep the comparison fair.
Anyway, this
week we did a lot of service. Including (but not limited to):
-Shoveling
dog poop.
-Pulling up
T-posts
-Driving in
T-posts
-Building
fences
-herding
goats
-filling in
holes
-weeding
-tasting hot
mustard (to make sure it was safe)
Anyway, we
also had stake conference this week. President and Sister Bartlett came down
from Boise and spoke. It was really neat. A lot of the talks had to do with
ministering and receiving revelation. A few of them even combined the two and
talked about how increasing our ability to receive revelation can help us
minister to others.
Fun Fact:
this was the first stake conference I have been to in Idaho. I managed to
somehow dodge the other two.
We also went
to a party for some people we visit son's first communion. They are devout Catholics,
and very good people. They invited us so we stopped by to say congratulations.
We also ended up leaving with two plates of carnitas. They had a lot of food
and didn't want to keep it.
We also had
a guy tell us about the Kimama Light (sound familiar Sydney?) Anyway, it's a
light that moves around north of Kimama Idaho. Sounds cool, but it is out of
our area and we can't be out that late. But maybe in about 14 months we will
find it.
ALSO: We had
an investigator tell us that he knows for a fact our church is true because
Alex Jones said the LDS church is the only organization the Illuminati is
scared of.
In the words
of Elder Blashill: "a testimony is a testimony"
Anyway. The
other pictures I have this week are:

Q & A
Hola Manatí!
1. Do
you need anything?
Nothing
right now. WE GET FED A LOT HERE. There isn't a day that we don't get fed. So
food isn't too big of an issue. I am going to be purchasing meds next week so
just a heads up.
2. Best day
this week?
Every day
was a really good day. There isn't a very good way to rank them. I did get
permission this coming Saturday to go back to Kimberly for the baptism of two
girls I helped teach over the past few months, so that should be really cool.
3. Details
regarding our video call NEXT WEEK?!?
I have Skype
set up on my phone. I was going to follow Lindsey so we can do it from hers. It
will be sometime during the day. We will have some members text you the details
when we figure out where we will do it from.
4. What did
you do for P-day last week/plans this week?
We were
planning on going to City of Rocks. But the Malta Elders need to get food, so
we will be doing that next week. We will just do bowling and sports. We didn't
go bowling last week because everyone else here is sick of bowling every week.
We also spent a lot of time in the DI last week, so that might happen again.
5. Where do
you shop for groceries in the Declo area?
We go to
Walmart in Burley. The same one I went to with Elder Hodge back when life was
simple and I had no idea what was going on.
6. Best meal
this week?
Carnitas at
a first communion party. Even though it was kind of a second dinner. The
frijoles were really good.
7. Best
thing about serving with Elder Blashill?
He is funny.
Really funny. He knows memes, even really old, obscure memes. He cannot be stopped.
8. Hardest
day this week?
I guess on
Friday we spent the entire day pretty much doing service. I was very fatigued
the next day. So that probably qualifies as "hard".
9. Funniest
thing to happen this week?
This will
also be in my weekly email, but we had an investigator tell us that he knew our
church was true because he saw an interview with Alex Jones where he said that
the only organization that the Illuminati is scared of is the LDS church
because they can't control it. So... I guess a testimony is a testimony. He
actually told us several reasons the church was true, but that was just one of
them.
10. What
stood out most from the talks at Declo Stake Conference?
Ministering
to those around us and receiving revelation. Also, receiving revelation to know
how to minister to those around us. President Bartlett cannot be told secrets
because he gave us sneak peeks (that he received at mission president training)
at what is coming next.
"Fewer
Chapels, more Temples. Less teaching at Church and more teaching in the
home"
He also said
that we have a healthy, active prophet-president, revelation is coming.
OK, better
get started on the weekly email.
LOVE YOU!
