But wait, there's more... email to Lindsey

Glad to hear your week is over. Mine is too! My Spanish is getting mas bueno cada Dia. We already taught an investigator several times in Spanish only. Apparently I am in the intermediate class, so everyone speaks Spanish well. I have also said some things to the Chinese missionaries to confuse them (e.g. "Hello sister, my name is watermelon. The apple is too expensive. Goodbye.") If I ever get the chance, I will do the same with the Russian speaking missionaries. As far as the getting acclimated to the early to bed early to rise, I have been going to bed earlier than required, but as my companion can attest, early to rise is still an issue. What exactly is your schedule? I already told everyone else, but I can read emails at any time during the week so I like getting email updates about life in the natural state in the middle of the week, even though I can't respond. Thanks for the email and good luck getting that degReeeeeee! (E

Week two update: Choir, Eclipse, Tours

OK. So a lot has happened this week. On Sunday, we went to sacrament meeting and had a few other meetings as well. Later in the afternoon we went to choir practice, we sang Hurrah for Israel. It was good and the choir director was very funny, he has a band director sense of humor with his stories. He did mention the Elisha and the she-bears story, so that was neat. One time he said that he was directing a choir singing 'Come, Come Ye Saints' and they sang it with so little motivation that they may have well been singing 'not so bad, could be worse'. This is now my mission motto. I also sang so loud at the Tuesday devotional that I lost my voice and couldn't speak for a few days. It's mostly back now, but I still cannot "Reeee" properly (SAD!). The eclipse was also very neat. The temperature dropped about 14 degrees and the shadows got weird. We had about 90% coverage and someone let me see through their glasses, a

Elder Blashill y Yo                    Introduction of Characters: -Elder Blashill:  Mí compañero por el CCM. He's from Amarillo, TX and is also going to Boise. - Elder Utrilla:  Another missionary in our room. From Utah and going to Argentina. -Elder Hutchison:  Also in our room, from Utah and going to Ventura California. -Elder Foley:  Had 11 years of Spanish classes, but chose to be in the intermediate class instead of the native speaker class because he wanted más training en el CCM. From New Jersey and going to Logan Utah. Summary: So we recently found out that the only reason our district (the missionaries in my Spanish class, 6 companionships) has tablets is because Elder Foley is going on a tablet mission, so everyone else in the class gets a tablet to use cuando en el CCM. We are all very grateful for him. The biggest benefit of having a tablet is having access to Google translate, although looking at the maps is fun too. It will be

Last night went really well, I got put in a temporary room with 3 other missionaries who showed up a day early as well.  There were also several other new missionaries who weren't in our room . Almost all of them were from different countries but my companion for the day was from Wisconsin. He is going to Japan. The other two missionaries we shared a room with were from Wales and were both going to the France Lyon Mission. Anyway, today the rest of the missionaries are arriving and I have an iPad that I get to use while in the CCM (MTC en Español). I put my bags in my legitimate room and went to see my teacher. She began speaking Spanish right away but I was prepared, I haven't used English with her yet.  OH YEAH! I almost forgot to tell you, yesterday there was a devotional that was broadcast to all of the other MTCs. Elder Neil L. Anderson and his wife spoke. It was really cool, I was just a few rows down. According to the other missionaries who have been here a while, they
