Achievement Unlocked: Contact Contact 100%



HEY! This was a fairly uneventful week since Elder Smith was sick for about 2 and a half days. But we still have some cool stories! Most of which will be described in pictures.

Pictures: Last District Council Meeting. We went to Jackpot again. We found some Peruvians who wanted to come to church. It was a good day. We ate at the buffet again. This time I was prepared and ate tons of seafood.

After dinner we contacted a few more people and hoped to repeat the San Jacinto situation from last week. So we went to CONTACT, NEVADA. It is pretty much a ghost town. We talked to one lady and she told us that she was the only one in town that day. Her neighbor was on vacation and her sister was in Twin. There were only two other residents that she told us about. So we took advantage and took some pictures while we were there. It is way too far out there to make it again. But at least they know they DO have missionaries!

PS: So today as we left to come to Twin. A trailer with an excavator on it caught a power line and pulled down 2 poles. We saw the lines arcing on the ground!

Wow! This week was really good. I know because it felt like a few days, but looking back it contained a month of top quality content. Service: We did service at the Barnyard again. This week they had us pound in like 20 T-posts. They fenced in their entire front yard because too many chickens crossed the road. T: "We just can't figure out what it is that they want out there in the road..." Me (In my mind because I'm not that bold): An escape from their cruel existence? Anyway, I still saw the pig. This is the sow, they moved her in on her own because she is going to have babies and they don't want the other pigs to eat them... Pigs are pigs. S: On Tuesday, we went to read the Book of Mormon with S. As we were talking to him, he told us to follow him to the basement house to see if we could pick up his ammo can full of pennies. Rest assured, we are staying VERY busy.

HOLA!  [Warm-up] Ok, I'm just gonna start writing because I don't even know what to say to get myself started typing. The smoke came back and I'm not too happy about that. Maybe I'll delete this when I am done, maybe not. Only time will tell. Last Preparation day we went to the Steadmans in Raft River. We got to do the slides without water. It didn't work too well, so it kinda just turned into a competition to see who could make it the farthest. We also did the zipline. That was pretty fun. Especially if you use the slide blankets as a cape. We did service again at the barnyard. We helped pick some of the vegetables I helped plant  4 MONTHS AGO?!?!!?  Time really needs to chill out, we got way too many vegetables and are scrambling to use them for something before they go bad. Ok, it is time to write an email detailing this weeks events. (Alternative Subject Line was "Mountains to Climb", but I went with the best quote from Sunday School this week instead) Last preparation day we went hiking with half of the district in Sun Valley.  Sun Valley is home to the world’s first chair lift, and we hiked the mountain (Proctor) that it was constructed on. Here are pictures (feat. TREES!?!): Our [not] pet was meowing and patting at the window by Elder Silva's bed when we got up in the morning (we are on the second floor). So we opened the window to take it back downstairs.  Elder Silva likes lint rollers. Another perk of serving in Sun Valley is that we have a mountain in our backyard.
